Grade 3 & 4 Math Tutoring

Our Grade 3 and Grade 4 math tutoring sessions are designed to help children grow their numeracy skills with confidence, building on what they’ve already learned and preparing them for more advanced concepts.

In Grade 3 tutoring, students strengthen their understanding of numbers up to 100,000, with a focus on place value, sequencing, and number relationships. They will practice addition and subtraction within 1,000, multiplication and division within 1,000, and be introduced to long multiplication and long division. Lessons also explore shape transformations, measurement, perimeter, and unit conversions.

In Grade 4 tutoring, children advance their skills with numbers up to 1,000,000, including place value and rounding. They will practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division within 10,000, including decimals. Students will also explore the connections between fractions, decimals, and percentages, while learning strategies for multi-step equations using order of operations. Geometry expands to include measuring angles, and measurement skills grow to cover area. Students are also introduced to arithmetic and geometric sequences.

Before registering in this session, please make sure your child has mastered the following: 

• – For Grade 3: Numbers up to 1,000, addition and subtraction within 100, multiplication and division within 100, measurement of length and units, and basic fractions.
• – For Grade 4: Numbers up to 100,000, addition and subtraction within 1,000, multiplication and division within 1,000, understanding of perimeter and unit conversions, and familiarity with long multiplication and division.

An administrative fee of $20 will be applied to all cancellations. No refunds will be issued less than 7 days prior to the start of the session.
