Family Futures Resource Network provides excellent early childhood programs and services, both registered and online. These programs offer parents and caregivers opportunities and experiences to support their children in their social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development. These programs also provide a natural environment for families to build social connections and increase protective factors for children.
To promote a safe and engaging experience for both caregivers and children, we apply a ratio of 1 caregiver to 3 children in early childhood programs, unless stated otherwise.

Beginning January 2026, due to rising costs, Family Futures Resource Network will be implementing a fee for some of the programs.
For caregivers and child ages: 3–6 years | 4-Day Camp $36 Fee Come immerse yourself in this focused weeklong journey to experience the joy of learning through play with your child. This mixed medley of popular programs offers families a chance to explore, play, and learn together. Each day brings a new adventure – whether it’s getting messy with sensory play, moving our bodies, letting your imagination soar or diving into early learning activities.
For caregivers and children ages: 2 – 5 years | Support your child’s early development through fun, play-based learning! This group introduces cultural diversity through interactive arts, music, and sensory activities. It fosters cultural understanding, strengthens community connections, and supports families, especially those new to the community, by promoting a sense of belonging and inclusion.
For children ages: 2 – 6 years | $36 Fee This art group invites children and caregivers to explore a new art technique each week. From finger painting to watercolors, you’ll be creating masterpieces and building confidence, fine motor skills, and self-expression, with each child bringing home their creation to share with family.
For caregivers and children ages: Birth–3 years | Bring your toddlers to an engaging and safe play space. Play experiences will be set up for you and your child to explore at your own pace. This is an unstructured play time with a focus on providing an opportunity for you to spend time with your child and meet other parents.
For caregivers with babies ages: Birth–1 year | $36 Fee The first year is crucial for your baby’s development. This group offers activities to stimulate the senses and promote early learning, including singing, sensory play, baby sign language, and developmental milestones. Enjoy bonding with your baby and connecting with other caregivers. Please bring a blanket for your baby. Due to high demand, families can register only once per eligible child each year.
For caregivers with babies ages: Birth–1 year | $40 Fee Learn how reading to your infant helps to promote early language skill development and enhance parent child connection. Please bring a blanket to place your baby on during the program.
For caregivers and children ages: 2–5 years | Is your child full of energy? This active group is designed to develop physical literacy through games, music and activities such as dancing, and parachute play. Come join in the fun and meet other families! Please arrive dressed for the weather and bring indoor shoes to wear during the group.
For caregivers and children ages: 3-6 years | 5-Day Camp This week-long active camp is designed to build physical literacy through engaging games, music, and movement activities such as dancing and parachute play. Each day offers new ways for children to move, play, and grow while having fun and making new friends. Weather permitting, portions of the camp will take place outdoors to support overall health and wellbeing and encourage a connection with nature in the community. Please arrive dressed for the weather and ready to move!
For caregivers and children ages: Birth–6 years | Come join us in an informal relaxed environment to enjoy social time and educational activities with other caregivers and their children to foster social connections and community engagement. Coffee and tea will be provided. Please bring beverages and nut free snacks for your children.
For children ages: Birth–6 years | Play experiences will be set up for you and your child to explore at your own pace. This is an unstructured play time providing an opportunity for you to spend time with your child and meet other parents.
All dads, granddads, uncles, and male caregivers are welcome!
For caregivers and children ages: 1-2 years | $40 Fee
This exciting physical literacy group invites toddlers to move, dance, and sing while fostering a love for physical activity. Each session is filled with rhythm, games, and creative movement activities that will have everyone wiggling and giggling in no time! Bring your toddler to experience the joy of movement and music and watch their confidence soar!
Birth–6 years | Would you like extra one-on-one support for your child? Our Family Mentorship Program provides in-home parenting education and family support services to expectant parents and those with children from newborn to the age of six. Trained Family Mentors provide families with information and support that helps them improve their parenting skills to provide a safe nurturing environment for their children. Family Mentors encourage a parent-led experience while providing recommendations based on leading practices.
For caregivers and children ages: 3–6 years | $36 Fee Children will explore, learn and discover the world of science in a cooperative and participatory environment. Brace yourselves for some stimulating learning and the opportunity to perform some exciting experiments.
For children ages: 4–5 years | $145/4 days per child | Parental Consent Forms Required In this fun, interactive camp the focus is on building social-emotional skills along with numeracy and literacy skills using fun songs, games, and activities. Children will begin to prepare for kindergarten while learning about communication, problem solving, letters, numbers, colours, days of the week, and so much more. Your child will spend their time exploring a variety of play centers including arts and crafts, imaginative play, stories, song and dance, outside time and more!
For caregivers and children ages: 2–6 years | Playdates are fun and a great way to learn! This interactive session offers caregivers and their children a wonderful opportunity to connect with others. This group is designed to help your child develop their creativity, exploration, and social skills while supporting their development through play. Please bring a nut-free snack for your child.
For caregivers and children ages: 3-6 years | 5-Day Camp $45 A fun, hands-on week-long culinary camp where children explore diverse foods, practice basic cooking skills, and build healthy eating habits day by day. Through playful, age-appropriate activities, little ones boost fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen while working on new recipes throughout the week. Join us as we inspire the next generation of healthy eaters—one delicious day at a time!
For caregivers and children ages: 3–6 years | During this group we explore relaxation, emotions, and mindfulness, for children. Learn to be aware of and manage emotions in a way that is fun and meaningful. It is also a very nice way to spend time connecting with your child. Weather permitting, part of this group will take place outdoors to help improve overall health and wellbeing and connect with nature. Please arrive dressed for the weather.
For caregivers and children ages: Birth–6 years | This group is offered in partnership with the Dayspring Presbyterian Church. Parents, caregivers and children come together to meet, learn, socialize, and have fun. Coffee will be provided. Please bring beverages and nut free snacks for your children.
For caregivers and children ages: 3-4 years | In this interactive group the focus is on building numeracy and literacy skills using fun songs, games, and activities. Learning through play, children will begin to prepare for preschool utilizing arts, crafts, stories, songs, and so much more.
For caregivers and children ages: Birth-3 years | Come and join us for Tagalog Rhymes, Songs and Storytime here at Family Futures. This fun and interactive program includes classical children’s Filipino stories, musical movements, rhymes and creative props. Connect with your little ones in discovering ways as they enhance their fine motor skills, build their memory, listening and vocabulary skills learning Filipino language.
For caregivers and children ages: 3 – 6 years | $36 Fee Join us for a fun and engaging Sensory Camp, where children will discover the world through hands-on sensory activities like water-play, sand, along with music, and movement. Campers will build and develop fine and gross motor skills in a safe, supportive environment. Perfect for curious minds who love to touch, create, and explore!
For caregivers and children ages: 3-6 years | $36 Fee
This series is designed for children to explore the wonders of the natural and physical world through observation, experimentation, and creative problem-solving. This inspires children to become curious explorers, encouraging a lifelong love of science through discovery, creativity, and hands-on learning. The highlights include Animal Exploration, Plant Discovery, Light & Sounds and Simple Machines.
For caregivers and children ages: 3-6 years | $36 Fee
Through makerspace activities, building challenges, and simple STEM activities children learn about simple technology they encounter in everyday life and explore how it works. By building, testing, and imagining, children develop curiosity, creativity, problem-solving skills, and confidence while bringing their ideas to life through play.
For caregivers and children ages: Birth–3 year | $36 Fee This interactive group is full of lively stories, fun rhymes, and sing-along songs! Explore early literacy, language, and creativity through movement, music, and social play. This fun and welcoming experience is the perfect way for you and your child to connect, enjoy each other’s company, and make lasting memories together.
For caregivers and children ages: 3–6 years | Join in this one day sample session of “Fun With Science” where children will explore, learn and discover how science works and perform an experiment or two.
Family Futures Resource Network provides information, education and support to individuals, parents and families. We are the only family resource centre in south Edmonton, that offers this range of services and programs. We are a network of programming sites embedded within the communities we serve.
