Our one-on-one math tutoring in Edmonton provides individualized instruction tailored to your child’s unique learning style, pace, and academic goals. Whether they need extra help mastering challenging subjects, catching up after falling behind, or want to get ahead, our private tutoring sessions offer a supportive, encouraging environment that helps students improve their academic performance.

Tutoring Information

We provide in-person tutoring for students in Kindergarten to Grade 9, with lessons aligned to the Alberta Mathematics Curriculum. Every session is tailored to your child’s unique learning style, pace, and academic goals, allowing our experienced tutors to focus on strengthening foundational skills, filling learning gaps, and helping students develop the confidence they need to excel in the classroom.

Our One-on-One Tutoring Service is $45 per one-hour session. Tutoring sessions are available during the following times:

Tuesdays: 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Sundays: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Coming Soon: We are excited to expand our programs to include English Language Arts (ELA), offering even more opportunities for continued growth in literacy, reading comprehension, writing, and math mastery.

How do I register?

What makes Family Futures Resource Network’s tutoring different from a traditional class?

Is tutoring for advanced students or students who need extra help?

– Our program strives to be mindful of all types of learners and abilities.
– We welcome both advanced students and students needing extra help.

Are there age requirements?

– We can start with your child at the age of 4.
– Philosophy of meeting students where they are academically.
– Sessions are categorized by the material being taught. All students in a given session will be studying at the same grade level, but not necessarily of the same age.

Is homework given?

Homework and at-home activities are available and encouraged and will be given upon the request of the parent.

Are there assessments or progress reports?

– An informal assessment is completed during your child’s first tutoring session. Caregivers are encouraged to identify areas where their child would benefit from additional support when registering.
– Progress and skills are noted at the end of every session. Regular feedback is provided to each family.
– Each grade has a set of Government of Alberta learning outcomes. Once a student has mastered the core learning outcomes for a given grade, we will recommend that they move to the next grade level.

$45 per one-hour session.

Our group tutoring sessions are currently held at our Summerside location #101 4341 Savaryn Dr SW Edmonton, Alberta

How long should I expect my child to need tutoring with Family Futures Resource Network?

– Our program runs all year with the exception of statutory holidays.
– Student success benefits from consistent, weekly sessions.
– We ask for a minimum commitment of one month (4 weeks) to work on the student’s area of concern. However, we recommend students register for a full school term for greater student support and success.
– Families can determine their child’s learning needs month to month, and register accordingly.

Are caregivers required to stay during the session?

Caregivers are required to sign in and sign out their child, but are not required to stay the full class time.

Are caregivers allowed in the tutoring room?

A space is provided for parents wanting to wait for their child, but not in the tutoring room itself.

Cancelation Policy

An administrative fee of $20 will be applied to all cancellations. No refunds will be issued less than 7 days prior to the start of the session.
